Aw. The Korg Monotron is an analogue ribbon synth you can stick in your pocket. You know how you always get random hipsters playing guitar outside museums in Paris, or in Hyde Park? Wonder what would happen if you whipped this little Jack Russell out. More than likely, old people would shake their sticks at you. Children would cover their ears and cry. Squirrels would throw nuts at your face and confused pigeons would fall from the sky. That said, what do pigeons know about affordable, portable, joyous little synths? Nowt.
I love my bass guitar, hardly goes out of tune, sounds great and looks ace.
A Low Gain Electronics ‘Short Bus’ 7 input or logic mixer, mix gates, triggers, and clock signals with a flip of the delightful sunshine switches.
A Macbeth M3X. This beast produces some gorgeous deep growl sounds, the stark simplicity of the front panel gives a feeling that you are playing with an industrial component. I would be a bit scared of the machinery that this monster controlled if they produce such dirty sounds. Lovely instrument.
Modulars not only sound great, but they also look pretty. Makes a change from my usual architectural photography jaunts…
This long bridge along the canal in Coventry has wonderful uplighting. When it’s dark you get a perfect arc shimmering across the water.
